Becoming a great physician scientist is a long and hard journey. However, little opportunity for basic research is given during the resident and fellowship training periods. Furthermore, young professionals should struggle by themselves in developing their research career since little research mentoring is given to them. In this session, I will briefly provide some tips on how to establish your own research program. To help you do that, I will suggest additional tips on how to conceive original or clinically meaningful research questions or topics. Also, importantly, you have to always consider available technologies to tackle your questions and build up your own hand-on experimental experience. Hopefully, this session could help you grasp better sense to establish yourself as a soon-to-be physician scientist significantly contributing to biomedical science.
