Biological effect of cirsiliol on xanthine oxidase: Medicinal importance and therapeutic benefit in the medicine

Objective: Cirsiliol is an important class of phytochemical found to be present in the Salvia guaranitica are well known flavonoidal class compound. In order to know the health beneficial aspects of cirsiliol in the medicine, here we have collected numerous scientific information from various literature sources and analyzed. Biological effect of cirsiliol on xanthine oxidase has been investigated through literature data analysis of various scientific research works. Methods: Literature data analysis revealed the biological potential of cirsiliol in the medicine. Literature data analysis revealed the biological effect of cirsiliol on xanthine oxidase as cirsiliol exhibited anti-xanthine oxidase activity. However their antioxidant and tyrosinase inhibitory activities of cirsiliol have been investigated in the literature work and revealed better antioxidant potential further justify their uses in the medicine. Results: Literature data analysis revealed the biological effect of cirsiliol on xanthine oxidase. Conclusions: Objective: Phytochemicals are important secondary metabolite of plants and other natural sources which are considered the better source of natural medicine in the heath sectors. Pure phytoconstituents are having numerous biological potential to treat different types of human disorders.
