The total number of dialysis patients has been increasing annually in Korea and Japan. The mean age of incident dialysis patients in both countries was rapidly increasing. Peritoneal dialysis (PD) has several benefits for elderly patients and may be useful in treatment for end stage kidney diseases (ESKD) in an aging population. In this presentation, I will present the recent evidences and our experiences to enhance the use of PD among elderly patients. I will discuss about the below topics.
