There are significant discrepancies between office BP measurements and out of office BP measurements due to both white coat effect and masked effect. Therefore, determining the exact corresponding out of office BP value for office BP may be difficult. For example, a corresponding out of office BP value for the same SBP of 140 mmHg may differ if the patient has white coat hypertension or masked effect. In this talk, we will discuss the methodologies to determine the corresponding values of out of office BP measurements and discuss the corresponding value of office SBP of 120 mmHg.
