This lecture retains the history of acute kidney injury diagnosis, brief pathophysiology, and prevention and supportive treatment of acute kidney injury. Also, it introduces new challenging medications, clinical phenotypes of acute kidney disease, and managing plans for long-term sequelae. It recapitulates updated information and proposes future acute kidney injury research.
