Many countries, including Korea, are becoming aging societies, with Korea set to become the fastest growing super-elderly society in the world. Therefore, the aging of dialysis patients is no longer a surprise. The better we understand our older patients with chronic kidney failure, the better we can provide them with quality care. In this lecture, we will discuss the characteristics and prognosis of elderly dialysis patients and when dialysis should be discontinued.
