The Korean Society of Nephrology has diligently worked over the past two years to develop the Korean version of the Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) guideline. This initiative is now approaching its finalization stage, with an anticipated publication within the current year. The development of this guideline has been a meticulous process, ensuring a comprehensive and balanced approach that aligns with global standards while addressing the unique clinical needs and realities of Korea. To achieve a guideline that is both globally relevant and locally applicable, the Korean Society of Nephrology has conducted an extensive internal review process. This process was enriched by the invaluable input and insights from a diverse panel of international nephrology experts, facilitating a harmonized integration of global perspectives with the specific nuances of Korean clinical practice. Furthermore, the guideline has been crafted to reflect the current situation and domestic reality in Korea, ensuring that it is fully responsive to the specific needs and challenges faced by healthcare professionals and patients within the country. The guideline encompasses a wide array of topics pertinent to CRRT, including but not limited to, indications for use, modality selection, management strategies, and troubleshooting common issues. It is the sincere hope of the Korean Society of Nephrology that the development and dissemination of this guideline will significantly contribute to the enhancement of CRRT treatment outcomes, not only in Korea but also globally.
