The focus of this talk will be on DCD donor kidneys and their impacts on the recipient. Technical challenges such as horseshoe kidney, multiple vessels and right sided kidneys will also be discussed. In addition to strategies to improve DCD kidney outcomes, a review of the use of uncontrolled DCD donor kidneys will also be included, to demonstrate the possibilities of this extended donor source.
